As I post tips to Twitter, I will keep a running list of them below…

#1. Eat your tomatoes. That includes your salsa, your marinara sauce, etc. It’s all about the lycopene, baby.

#2. Water, agua, H20 – whatever you call it – drink it. Just remember it is possible to drink TOO much

#3. Always use sunblock & always reapply frequently – no matter how high your spf. Confused about the #?

#4. Think cardio is enough? It’s not. Grab a weight and build a muscle already. Check out @Shape_Magazine.

#5. No matter how healthy we eat, we are probably still missing some essential nutrients. Don’t forget to take a daily multivitamin.

#6. Have trouble keeping your date with the gym? Ask someone to meet you there. Peer pressure can be a good thing.

#7. Check expiration dates on food items – not everything smells bad or gets fuzzy…can you say ‘salad dressing’? Ew.

#8. When is the last time you had a physical? Make your health insurance work for you and make an appointment!

#9. What’s holding those muscles up? You need strong bones to maintain great health. If you aren’t a milk drinker, get supplements.

#10. Don’t cut out any food entirely – it will make you crazy. A couple bites are ok – everything in moderation!

#11. The best workout time of the day is not the same for everyone. Go when you are most energetic – this will help you stick with it.

#12. Headed 2 the gym? Don’t take any old water bottle! Bring the bpa-free one to avoid ingesting unwanted toxins.

#13. Food allergies? Make sure you read labels. No label or still not sure what’s in it? Look it up!

#14. Need some brain power? Don’t reach for sugar! Drink half a cup of water each hour during the day for more stamina!

#15. Are you making the most of your health insurance coverage – specifically well-being benefits? Gym savings, massage therapy…!!

#16. Put on those sunglasses. Look for the label that states they filter 100% of UV rays – and the bigger, the better!

#17. Pepper your diet with food-superhero antioxidants. Berries, citrus, brown rice, whole-wheat bread and pasta.

#18. If you’re wasting money on an unused gym membership consider building one at home. Craigslist is great for cheap used equipment!

#19. Dehydration can decrease brain power AND physical stamina. Try to drink half a cup of water every hour throughout your day.

#20. Every day remind yourself what you are thankful for – it might even give you more energy and reduce your chances of depression.

#21. 15% of 20-30 year-olds have early-stage hearing loss. Lower the volume on your MP3 player to no more than 50% of its maximum level.

#22. Take advantage of the cold weather! You burn more calories walking outside when temps drop below 50 degrees.
